FLATLINE

Forgive me but for what is there to live
I gave what I could give
Live by the honor code
Used to be a kid on the honor role
Slow I knew only me
It was everything I can be
Never hit a tree, fast lane, front seat
My heart my beats to a fast beat
Use another sheet for another weak
The sun shine I begin life in the frontline
From time to time, I plan to bring mine
Hope something comes my way
To live for a better day
God makes his way around the block
I here a knock:
“Before I sleep
I pray God my soul to keep
And if I shall die before I awake
I pray to God, my soul to take
For goodness sake”
